all donations (with no direct benefit or product in return) are 100%
tax deductible. There are several ways for both Individuals and Corporations

Memorial and tribute donations are special gifts providing people
with opportunities to remember family and friends. You may wish
to consider this type of gift to express sympathy, or to celebrate
a birthday, graduation, anniversary or other special occasion.
PAL will acknowledge the gift to all parties who you wish to
notify. A memorial or tribute gift truly keeps on giving. |

Please remember PAL in your will. Your legacy will live on when
you make a gift as part of your estate plan which will help
PAL provide youngsters with safe places to grow and learn. We
can help you prepare to meet with your attorney on how to carry
out your personal objectives for your estate. |

PAL participates in the United Way's Donor Option Campaign,
whereby supporters can specifically designate their donations
to benefit the Police Athletic League. Just indicate that you
want your contribution to go to PAL. PAL's Donor Option Number

Each May the Police Athletic League honors an individual(s)
for his or her outstanding contributions to the community. The
Award Dinner is PAL's largest fundraiser and a very special
evening for all in attendance. Proceeds from the Dinner and
Souvenir Tribute Book are used to finance the PAL Scholarship
Program and to help support PAL's activities in our centers
throughout the city. Donations range from a $150 business card
ad in the PAL Tribute Book up to a $25,000 Diamond Sponsorship

Through this program, generous area businesses, foundations,
and individuals "adopt" PAL centers, allowing the
sponsored locations to expand their curriculums, maintain existing
general operations and carry on the mission of "Cops Helping
Kids." Adopted centers may feature employee volunteer programs,
special parties and events for the sponsor and the center's
youth, a company-sponsored sports team, and all "adoptions"
are celebrated with an official kick-off ceremony. Depending
on the center itself, the cost to adopt a PAL Center ranges
from $10,000 to $20,000.

Membership to the Commissioner's Club is obtained through a
$1,000 cash contribution, made with a personal check or through
the United Way Donor Option Campaign. PAL's Donor Option Number
is #1081. Besides the satisfaction of knowing their contributions
directly make a difference in the lives of more than 27,000
young people, Commissioner's Club members are presented with
special police-related tokens of appreciation and are invited
to several events with the Police Commissioner during the year.
