ocated at 11th & Huntington Streets inside the Salvation Army,
the PAL Center provides Free, Safe and Fun activities for boys and
Girls ages 6-18. Hours of operation are 3pm-9pm during Fall, Winter
& Spring. Summer hours are 9am-5pm.

The Fairhill PAL center is under the direction of 10 year veteran
Police Officer, Ernest Pollard. Officer Pollard is a graduate of Temple
university and also was a standout Basketball player for Temple University.
Working with the children in this North Philadelphia community on
a daily basis is his passion. Officer Pollard stresses the importance
of getting a good education and going to school on a regular basis.
He has a simple motto that he goes by with the kids. He states "You
are only going to get out of life what you put into it" No deposit
, No withdrawal.
Officer Pollard is definitely a bright light in the community.
He serves as a leader, a coach, a mentor & father figure. Officer
Pollard has just started a mentoring program for boys this fall
and is getting good results in its beginning stages.
